Racing the Planet Greece 2025 – An Ultramarathon Beyond Limits
In September 2025, Greece hosted one of the world’s most challenging endurance events.
Racing the Planet, an ultramarathon that brought together over 150 athletes from across the globe to conquer approximately 250 kilometers through the awe-inspiring landscapes of the Peloponnese.
ευΖΗΝ feelόsophy supported the organization with operations and hospitality.
The journey began in the historic area of Marathon, where participants gathered for race check-in, gear preparation, and the first opportunity to connect with fellow runners, volunteers, and staff. This symbolic starting point paid homage to the birthplace of long-distance running, setting the tone for the extraordinary days to come.
From Marathon, the group transferred to Kardamyli, where the race officially began.
Over the course of seven days and six stages, athletes faced rugged trails, shifting weather, and the immense physical demands of ultradistance racing.
Yet, alongside the challenges came unforgettable rewards:
- Sweeping views of Mount Taygetus
- Encounters with historic monasteries and villages
- Warm interactions with local communities that embraced the athletes with hospitality and pride
Despite rain, rough terrain, and exhaustion, the spirit of sportsmanship carried the competitors forward.
In total, 141 ultramarathon runners and 25 ultralite participants proudly crossed the finish line in Ermioni, welcomed by family, friends, and locals in an atmosphere filled with emotion, resilience, and celebration.
Following the finish, the community reunited in Marathon for a celebratory evening. The night featured awards, speeches, and a festive dinner, providing a fitting close to a week that had tested limits and created lifelong memories.
