Following their arrival and check-in at the Athens Marriott Hotel, guests embarked on an immersive food tour through the bustling markets of Athens. This experience introduced them to the city’s rich gastronomic heritage, indulging in local flavors such as olive oils, Greek cheeses, tsipouro, honey and souvlaki. The evening unfolded with a special dinner at the hotel, where an enchanting “strolling trio” of musicians moved through the venue, adding an intimate and elegant touch to the atmosphere.
The second day began with a captivating surprise- before the morning meeting commenced, Greek traditional dancers took the stage, setting a lively and authentic tone! After the session, guests were transported to the iconic Panathenaic Stadium, the historic site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Entering through a private entrance, they explored a special museum hall showcasing Olympic torches and posters from past Games. The event unfolded with an exhilarating opening flag parade, followed by a series of competitive Olympic-style challenges! The experience culminated in a collective, emotionally charged Syrtaki dance performance, concluding with a thrilling Medal Award Ceremony for the top teams- a moment of unity, celebration, and true Olympic spirit. The day concluded with a delightful dinner at “Elaia”, a charming restaurant nestled in the heart of Plaka, the historic old city of Athens.
For the final day, we created a personalized itinerary, offering guests the choice of four bespoke activities: a mythology tour (a fun walk full of surprises, where professional storytellers pop up unexpectedly and bring ancient myths to life), another food tour, an orientation walking tour to experience the city like a local, or a bike tour through the city’s most picturesque routes.

The overall event feedback was great. People loved the Olympic experience and music and dancers. The onsite event hosts were all friendly and professional and easy to work with. The two women that came on the morning of Day One jumped right in to help set-up the lanyards and badges for the attendees. The photographer stayed engaged the whole time and did his best to capture a variety of photos. The folks that did the “Choose Your Own tours” were very happy. The bike tour shared pics that looked pretty cool, and I think the Unexpected Athens tour ended up with only nine people, so they enjoyed the small group experience.
